The central park in Puerto Plata has a gazeebo, and a few gingerbread style homes make of wood around the park. The park is just a short distance walk from the ocean boardwalk. There is a hotel called Kevin that is very close, that is about 500 pesos per night and quite nice for Expats.
Many hotels bring tours to this park during the day.
